Pub Golf (Match Play)

This is the easier of the golfing challenges, stroke play being the hardest. Basically 9 holes are played (i.e. 9 pubs visited) and each player must have a drink in each pub. Awards and penalties can be gained throughout the course. If you'd like to organise one, here is a blank score sheet with the rules. Just enter the pub names for the holes, pick as many water / bunker holes as you desire and decide upon a drink off time / date. Alternatively, here's one for a North Berwick and Gullane round all ready for you - just pick a date / time.

Twenty One

Twenty One is a game that starts off simple - and all you have to do is know how to count up to 21 ... well almost!

Play starts with any player who starts counting from 1. Any player may say up to a maximum of 4 numbers before stopping which passes play onto the next player to the left. The person that says the number 21 drinks 2 fingers of their drink.

This is when it gets intersting. After the penalty has been drunk, that player then changes any number to another word, for example changing the number 4 to "donkey." On the next count sequence, "donkey" must be said instead of the number 4, so it would go 1 2 3 "donkey" 5 6 ... At any time if a number / word is said wrong then the penalty is 2 fingers of drink. After the penalty, the person then starts again from 1 (or whatever the number 1 has been replaced by).

To add a bit more interest, try replacing (for example) the number 9 with the word "three." However, so it doesn't get too messy, you may want to limit the number of numbers replaced by other numbers.

Imagine trying to remember this sequence for example ... nine, banana, hooker, donkey, kong, twelve, lager, dirty, three, bike, cukoo, money, one, randy, dandy, cuboid, furry, minge, smelly, poo, sheep.

Dorrito Challenge

This isn't so much a drinking game, but more like something to do when you're drunk and don't mind looking stupid! For the challenge to be recorded in the leader board, it must have been witnessed by at least one other KIDDA member.

You require : a big bowl of Dorritos (or some similar cheaper equivalent) and very hot dip - none of your mild sh1t here!

Place the dip on your lap and the dorritos on your legs. A cloth or some other spillage reducing apparatus may be used too!

In a continuous motion, using BOTH hands at the same time, your challenge is to eat as many dorritos as possible. The sequence is pick, dip, eat, pick, dip, eat etc. As you're shoving a dipped dorrito in your mouth with one hand, your other hand will either be picking up another dorrito, or dipping a dorrito.

Your attempt ends when you:
If a dorrito is eaten which is not considered large enough (let's face it, they will break) as in at least half of the chip, then the attempt continues, but the small dorrito is not counted.

Currently, the leader board looks like this:

Zip, Boing

Everyone in a circle, or around a table, or basically in any shape or form that permits an order!

Someone starts either "Zip to my left" or "Zip to my right!" The person on that side may then say "Zip" and the zipping continues on until someone says "Boing!" When this happens, the direction is changed. Only rule is that you cannot "Boing" a boinger (i.e. If the person beside you "Boings" and passes to you, you cannot "Boing" them back) Anyone missing their "Zip" or "Zipping" out of turn or even "Boinging" a "Boinger" must drink 2 fingers of drink.

To make it more interesting, get faster and faster!

Thumbs

Every one starts with two thumbs. To explain, we will use 4 people called Eric Saint Eddie and Guitar.

Eric starts. He must pick a number between 1-8 as 8 is the max thumbs. He says "1 2" then his chosen number. As he says the number, people decide whether to stick up 0 1 or 2 thumbs. If he guesses the number right he reduces his thumbs to 1. The aim is to have no thumbs left. If he guesses wrong it's the usual 2 fingers!

Obviously as people reduce the number of thumbs the max number reduces 5 is about the max number of people for this game. If you use more change thumbs to coins but play as normal (number of coins in every ones right hands to work this)

I've Never

This is a Queensland favorite as we learn so much about each other. Best played with close friends. Rules are simple ... someone says "I've never ..." then something they've never done. Anyone who has done what was said drinks ... you guessed it 2 fingers!

Pinties Pint

For the Brits who are old enough, see if you recognise it. "This is a word association game where you mustn't pause hesitate or repeat a word. If you do, it's 2 fingers like this or like this!" (Saint loved Timmy Mallet)

I'm Spartacus

Not so much a drinking game as a way of p1ssing off others in the pub!

At the start of the night you draw cards the suicidal king is Spartacus (hearts). A pre chosen word e.g. "kebab" is the trigger. The holder of the card must shout "I'm Spartacus!" They may then pass the card on to another person. You must have said "I'm Spartacus" before you pass on the card on. If you fail to say "I'm Spartacus" at the right time you must down your drink.
